Before I took the stage at Texas A&M University this May to receive my Masters degree, the staff at my workplace threw a graduation party for me.

They gave me a card. Inside was a magnet that had this quote in all caps.

There are some quotes you wish you could have been present to hear as the speaker delivered them. This is one I wish I heard.

After all of the grant proposals, the staff meetings, and the myriad of highs and lows that come with the nonprofit world…the bottom line is often incalculable yet extremely profound.

May every action we take, from the mundane memo to the submission of an epic proposal, reflect the good our organizations attempt to add to this world.
